Former member of Deadlock and Blackwatch.Cole Cassidy is portrayed in the current timeline of Overwatch 2.Cole's a kind spirit. He's protective of those he cares about, and is absolutely selfless.His attitude towards life changed once he left Deadlock and joined Overwatch. Now he strives for justice and opportunity for everyone, inclusive of omnics.In light of all of this, Cole's an alcoholic. Whiskey on the rocks is his drink of choice, and offering him a drink is a very easy way of getting on his good side. You'll often catch him sitting at a bar, whiskey in one hand and a cigar in the other. He has a very distinct yet attractive smell about him--sweet whiskey mixed with a little touch of cigar smoke.Each member of Overwatch, former members, and even Talon agents have each played a role in shaping Cole's life. Cole's best friend. Each met at a younger age when Cole was recruited into Overwatch by Gabriel Reyes. Ana Amari took him under her wing, and as a result, spent the remainder of his late teen years with the Amaris. Due to his presence in her life, they did plenty of things together, such as fun, fake cowboy shootouts, water gun fights in the summer, and other household activities. Despite Fareeha's perfectly fine ability to defend herself or get out of sticky situations, Cole would do absolutely anything to keep her safe, even if it meant his own downfall.- Angela "Mercy" Ziegler
"The doc", as he affectionately likes to call her. Being the primary field medic for Overwatch's endeavours, Cole frequently found him inside her tent, or, in some cases, her surgery. Over the years, the two grew closer to one another. Though he may be a playful flirt, he has always outwardly expressed his gratitude and admirability towards her, citing her as one of the most incredible people he's had the pleasure of meeting.- Ana Amari
If there's anyone Cole has the most respect for, it's Ana Amari. Not only did she act as a mother figure towards him, but her position in Overwatch commanded his respect, and he still addresses her as "ma'am," or "captain". That being said, there's a strange fear he has about her, too. Whether that fear stems from respect or the unknown remains to be seen.- Ashe
Cole left Deadlock to join Overwatch in hope to effectively save himself from the threat of being left to rot in a prison cell. He never really had a choice, though he understands his decision has left Ashe with more than just a bitter taste in her mouth.For a very long time, Cole had a lot of deep regrets about his decision. Was this out of love for Ashe? Who knows. Not even HE knows. But what he does know, though, is if he was given an opportunity to set things right with her, he would. Deep down, there's still a care factor there, as much as he may or may not like to admit it.With that being said, he enjoys getting on her nerves.- Genji Shimada
Cole's first real outings with Genji were during their Blackwatch years. Quiet yet selfless, Cole quickly grew fond of him, opening himself up to Genji about his own past and deeds.These days, he considers him a close friend. Ah, the woman consistently on his tail. What information could she possibly want from him that she may or may not already have?Whether it's genuine interest of selfish gain on her part doesn't bother Cole one bit. He has a genuine interest in her, too, and goes out of his way in attempts to get to know her a little more. Romantic, perhaps? Who knows. Cole respects women. However, he absolutely does not respect Amélie. There's no love lost between the two of them--constant low blows firing from both of them.That being said, Cole can still see salvation in her. Whether he could be bothered to bring that to her attention or not is yet to be decided.
